Since 2006, I have regularly created oil paintings outdoors with an easel, in the Rotterdam area and also abroad during the holidays.

I usually paint the paintings in two sessions and occasionally touch them up in the studio.

My love for painting outdoors comes from my father, painter Jan Aussems, who painted the landscape of the Voerstreek region in this way for many years.

He was my most important mentor.
