Watercolor courses

Abstract watercolor painting depicting a sailboat on water with geometric shapes and blocks of various colors in the background.

Also in 1996, I began teaching watercolor painting courses at various institutions, including 't Oude Raadhuis Spijkenisse and St. Kreatief Centrum Hoek van Holland.

The students first received a series of lessons in which I went through the materials list with them and explained the basics of watercolor technique. They were then given a few simple exercises to familiarize themselves with watercolor paint and learned how to stretch the paper.

The students then always received individual lessons from me, with a strong emphasis on drawing. I enjoyed this for many years.
